Greetings from Mishima,

TSUJIMURA KAI, TSUJIMURA YUI
Today marks the final day of our two-month long Tsujimura Kai exhibition. We send our sincere thanks to all for your support and interest in Tsujimura's exhibition. Another world's first it was and you can bet Kai's star will only rise. Kai will be coming to our office on Saturday and will be bringing some of his brother Yui's work; stay tuned for that. You can read about Yui's Japan debut exhibition last month by clicking the below link:

URAGUCHI MASAYUKI
Our next feature exhibition will start on March 19, 2004, bringing to the world for the first time the work of celadon artist Uraguchi Masayuki. He just finished a successful exhibition last week at Mitsukoshi, Tokyo, and photos from that exhibition can be viewed at the below link until the end of the year:

BI-LINGUAL BOOK FEATURING WORK OF MIHARA KEN
An exhibition we had last year that you might remember was that of Mihara Ken. Well, a splendid bi-lingual book has been recently published on Mihara and I'm pleased to announce that most pieces from OUR exhibition are featured in the book. As written at japanesepotterybooks.com, where the book is available:

"A beautiful picture essay book of the works of Izumo-based ceramic artist Mihara Ken. Izumo is the ancient name for a regional area in Shimane prefecture. The book shows Mihara's works in a variety of natural and indoor settings, accompanied by brief essays about the ancient folk tales and Shinto myths of the Izumo region. Brief essays include The Ceramist of Izumo, One Study of Mihara's Work, and The Path to My ceramics. All color photos of 56 works. Biography and list of works (Japanese only) conclude the book."

This book can be purchased at:
