This museum is located next to Kairakuen park, one of the three most famous parks in Japan and designated a national landmark. It houses the collection of the Hitotsubashi family, feudal lords in the Edo period and one of the three branch families of the Tokugawa. Focusing on traditional arts and crafts and historical literature of the Edo period, a visit here will provide insights into everyday customs and traditions in those days. A tearoom and other cultural properties can be found at the annex on the same site.

The museum exhibits about 1300 precious works of artists from Japan and overseas, including Sataro Yasui's "Light", and Francois August Rodin's "Three shadows," as well as paintings by Claude Monet and Renoir. The museum offers a stunning selection of works by regional artists, such as ITAYA Hazan, YOKOYAMA Taikan, HISHIDA Shunso, SHIMOMURA Kanzan, and KIMURA Buzan. Visitors to the museum's restaurant will get an enchanting view of Lake Senba. A video gallery is also available.

Kasama Nichido Museum of Art

This museum was established in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the founding of Galerie Nichido, the first commercial gallery in Japan opened by Jin Hasegawa and his wife Rinko. The former main building of the museum, which was dedicated as the founder's memorial building, has been renovated.
Collections of Impressionistic works from Europe, American Modern art, as well as Ecole de Paris, are on display. There is also the atelier of Kitaoji Rosanjin, which was moved the from its original location in Kita Kamakura.

This museum was established to preserve six ancient kilns as well as Kasama-yaki in 1981. Special exhibition by local ceramists would be held regularly.

Suifu-Meitoku Shokoh-Kan TOKUGAWA Museum

The collection of the Mito Tokugawa family, one of the three families of the Tokugawa in the Edo period, is exhibited. The collection includes armor, furniture, arts and crafts as well as historical literature. Insights into the everyday customs and traditions of the Edo period can be gotten by viewing the collection. Special exhibitions are held five times a year.

ITAYA Hazan Memorial Museum

This museum was established to preserve the works by ITAYA Hazan, a ceramist, as well as his articles left by his death in 1975. There is also the atelier of ITAYA Hazan, which was moved the from its original location in Tabata, Tokyo.
