Tottori Folk Handcraft Museum

The museum houses the collection of YOSHIDA Shoya and includes folk handicraft works such as pottery and porcelain, lacquer ware, wood carvings, regional folk toys, textiles, dyeing, and bamboo crafts. Ancient Ushinodo-yaki and fifty Korean teabowls are among the ceramic collection and some have been designated as Important Cultural Properties.

Open: 10:00 to 17:00
Closed: Wednesday and New Year's Holiday.


Yonago City Museum of Art

The Yonago City Museum of Art was the first public museum in the region. The collection includes paintings, pottery and photographs by regional artists. Public exhibitions are seasonally held.

Tottori Museum of Modern Arts & Crafts

The Tottori Museum of Modern Arts & Crafts was established in 1988 and exhibits more than 1,500 modern paintings and 8,500 pieces of pottery made from the Edo through Showa periods. Special events by contemporary artists are also held each month. There's a noborigama and an anagama and lodgings for pottery workshops. Reservations are recommended.

Open: 9:00 to 18:00
Closed: Monday and New Year's Holiday (Dec.25-Jan.10)
